The CASCADE Lab, led by Jovan Stojković, develops next-generation computer architectures and systems for cloud and datacenter environments. We design novel hardware and software solutions that improve performance, energy efficiency, and resource utilization for modern and emerging workloads, often by orders of magnitude. Our research emphasizes fundamental, radical rethinking of hardware-software co-design, targeting the unique challenges of cloud-native workloads (e.g., microservices, serverless computing) and ML/AI workloads (e.g., LLM inference). CASCADE's work appears in top-tier architecture venues, including ISCA, ASPLOS, HPCA, and MICRO, and we maintain active collaborations with industry partners such as Meta, Microsoft, Intel, IBM, and others. Several of our innovations have already been adopted in production by major hyperscalers.
